These refill packs contain the precise quantities of Material A and Material B required to complete one full refill (charge) of your CO2GRO Generator.
When combined inside the generator, the two materials produce a steady supply of high-purity carbon dioxide (CO₂) to enrich your growing environment. Simply charge the generator, adjust the pressure-reducing valve to your preferred output, and connect it to a compatible CO₂ controller for accurate, automated CO₂ management.
Why Use CO₂ Enrichment?
Carbon dioxide is an essential element of photosynthesis, the natural process that enables plants to convert light into energy. Natural outdoor air typically contains around 400 ppm of CO₂. Best Practice for CO₂ Enrichment
Monitor CO₂ Levels
For optimum performance, maintain CO₂ concentrations between 1,000 and 1,200 ppm. Avoid exceeding 1,500 ppm, as higher concentrations provide little additional benefit and may present health risks. A quality CO₂ monitor or controller is strongly recommended.
Maintain Effective Airflow
Good ventilation and air circulation are essential to distribute CO₂ evenly throughout the grow room, ensuring all plants benefit from enrichment.
Optimise Grow Room Temperatures
When using LED grow lights, maintain temperatures between 28°C and 32°C. This helps keep leaf temperatures above 24°C, encouraging efficient stomatal function and maximising CO₂ uptake.
Increase Nutrient Strength
Plants grown under elevated CO₂ typically have a faster metabolism and may require higher EC nutrient levels to support accelerated growth.
Use CO₂ During the Light Cycle Only
CO₂ should only be supplied while grow lights are operating, generally for 12–18 hours per day depending on your lighting schedule. Supplying CO₂ during the dark period offers no benefit and unnecessarily wastes gas.
Prioritise Safety
Always use CO₂ equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure adequate ventilation, use certified equipment, and consider installing a dedicated CO₂ monitor and alarm for additional safety and peace of mind.
